The author of the popular book «A Millionaire from the Village» at a meeting with readers shared her memories of childhood, youth, her creative plans for the future and the creation of a novel for children about the legendary athlete Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov.
The dialogue was attended by a writer, journalist, researcher of the history of the region Torekhan Maibas; Head of the Department of the Kazakh Language and Literature of the Academy «Bolashaq», Ph.D., Professor Kurmangazy Sembiev; artist, activist of the international anti-nuclear movement «Nevada-Semipalatinsk», author of illustrations for the book Karipbek Kuyukov.
The children shared their impressions of the writer’s works, read an excerpt from a well-known story, and the invited guests noted the importance of creating interesting literature for today’s youth.
