In order to promote and popularize the gradual transition from the Kazakh language to the Latin script and in connection with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev from October 26, 2017 for №569 on the approval of the new Kazakh alphabet based on the Latin chart with apostrophes consisting of 32 letters , the Library staff held an information hour “Latin alphabet is a new leader in caravans” for students of grades 6-7 with a visit to school № 15 on the 17th of January.

The librarian told the children about the implementation of the phased transfer to the new alphabet. Since 2018, training for specialists in teaching the new alphabet begins. Next year they will also start working on the development of school textbooks. A complete transitional new alphabet was assigned by 2025.

The children were shown a slide-presentation “Latin alphabet is a key of the future”.
