In honor of the 34th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan and with the aim of instilling military-patriotic feelings in teenagers, on February 8, a courage lesson “A soldier does not choose war” was held in the living room of the Saryzhailau cinema with the participation of internationalist soldiers.
Veterans of the Afghan war K. Tynymbaev, N. Makhanov, S. Sakhnov, S. Toktarbekov and A. Zhumataev took part in the meeting.
During the event, students watched the film “Black Major”. From veterans, the guys learned how they performed their combat missions during the years of the Afghan war, about unshakable friendship, the exploits of fighters and international duty. Those present at the meeting honored the memory of the fallen soldiers with a minute of silence. For students, this unforgettable meeting left an indelible mark on their hearts.

Librarians once again organized a trip to the school and visited gymnasium 97 with book novelties. Fifth-graders gathered in the media hall, where they had a correspondence tour of the Abai Children’s Library.
After the main story about the history of the library, the students had the opportunity to look at magazines and books that they liked. Some books were familiar to them, but not yet read.
The guys promised to come to the library in the coming days and take books. We always welcome new readers! Come!

On the eve of the 70th anniversary of the Abai Children’s Library, the library specialists conducted an informative correspondence tour of the library for students in grades 5-8 of the secondary school 64. Through the video “Library – the territory of childhood”, the children got acquainted with the halls of the library, became interested in the activities of circles and clubs.
The librarian reviewed new literature for children and adolescents, spoke about scientific and educational journals and modern library services.
At the end of the tour, the librarian invited the children to become readers of the library and take an active part in numerous events.
