By the closing of the summer library site “Summer.Children.Book” on August 15, the library under the open sky held a literary and musical evening “Abai mұrasy – mogilik mirays. Heritage Abay – the heritage of eternity”, dedicated to the work of a brilliant poet, philosopher, wise thinker and great personality of Kazakh literature of Abai Kunanbayev. The event was attended by children and educators of the regional children’s anti-tuberculosis sanatorium.

The children showed good knowledge of Abai’s creativity. They read poems emphatically: “Elim Kazaqym”, Kayran zhurtym”, “Abay’s poems about nature and the time of the year: “Summer”, “Autumn “. The young readers of the library A.Rakisheva and E.Asylbolat performed songs “Kozimnin qarasy ” and “Zhelsiz tunde zharyq ai”.

At the end of the event the children got acquainted with the book exhibition “Abai myrasy -mangilik miras ” where only a small part of the collection collected about the life and work of Abai Kunanbayev and his works during the years of the library existence was presented. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the first issue of the magazine “Abai”. The library has journals issued in 1992 – 2018, which were presented to children and adults.
