Meeting with a writer

As part of the library project “We create for you, children!” in our library there was an unforgettable meeting of readers with a children’s writer, prose writer, essayist Elena Klepikova, who came from Almaty. She is the author of nine and co-author of eight books, a teacher at the OLSh (Open Literary School) and the winner of many literary competitions and awards, including the Daraboz award (Kazakhstan), the Golden Pen of Russia (Russia). The author’s books are published in many countries and translated into Kazakh and English.
The meeting was held in the format of a round table, and each child could ask the author any question. The children prepared a staging of Elena Klepikova’s fairy tale “Quarantine Little Men”, and members of the dance group “Nurbi” pleased the children with an incendiary dance “Tentek kyzdar”.
At the end of the meeting, an autograph session took place, many words of gratitude were expressed, both to the author and the organizers. Library staff are convinced that such meetings are necessary, “live communication” with the author arouses the child’s interest in the book and reading in general, helping to shape the reader’s taste.
