Cosmic fortune-telling “What are the stars talking about?”

On the site, cosmic fortune-telling “What are the stars talking about?” the guests were shown that, having a certain amount of knowledge, one can independently learn to predict the future without resorting to magicians and clairvoyants. The participants opened the veil to the world of astrology, numerology and cocology.
Knowing the date of birth, you can find out on what day of the week a person was born, what fate endowed, what are the distinguishing features, under the auspices of which planet of the solar system is the person. All these questions were considered personally with each interested participant of the library twilight.
Knowing yourself is useful and interesting, because each of us is an amazing mystery that we want to unravel in order to better understand our kokoro – the inner world. Two Japanese psychological tests “Your Chance”, “Bridge” helped the children to comprehend themselves.
The guys from old children’s books, which have a special energy, naming only two numbers, told fortunes for the present and the future. Everyone was given birthday cards.
The library evening was a success, it turned out to be the perfect mix of science and entertainment, all the guests experienced a lot of positive emotions.

Biblio Twilight

The library named after Abai was unusually crowded, very cheerful and noisy, in general, a full house!
Library Twilight has descended on the library! What happened that evening in the library?
Readers were in outer space.
In the photo zone “Between stars and galaxies” everyone could try on a pressure helmet and feel like a real astronaut.
In the galactic cinema hall, the guests were offered several animated and documentary films about space. After watching, the children answered the questions of the quiz and received tokens for the correct answers.
At one of the stations, the guys were waiting for the mega-coloring book “Forward, into the distances of space”. Astronaut artists painted asteroids, planets, spaceships, stars, planets and aliens.
The beauty salon “CosmoBeauty” was very popular, where everyone got a unique hairstyle and make-up in an unusual, cosmic style.
Location “Space Philharmonic” offered entertainment for guests – karaoke. Each of them was able to feel like a star. The guests were able not only to perform their favorite hits from the heart, but also to have fun and enjoy each other’s company in a chamber atmosphere.
All participants of the biblio-twilight visited the CosmoBank, where the chief humanoid Banker exchanged the tokens earned by the children for space suites, which they could spend in the space library “Weightless Taste”.

Bibliospace station BCS – 70

Within the framework of the 70th anniversary of the library and the International Children’s Day, the Abai Children’s Library hosted the Action – Biblio-twilight “Bibliospace Station BCS – 70”, aimed at developing the creative, innovative potential of library work, actively attracting readers to co-creation.
The library space was divided into “twilight zones”: beauty salon “CosmoBeauty”, “CosmoBank”, “Galactic cinema hall”, space divination “What are the stars talking about?” -zone “Between stars and galaxies”, karaoke “Space Philharmonic”, a master class in robotics “Dignatera”.
In the course of visiting the sites, the guests earned library money, which was spent in the Weightless Taste bibliocafé.
The whole evening for the guests of the holiday were the vocal group “Youth” of the children’s music school 2 under the direction of Marat Bekishev and the group “Tea with a cat”, performing author’s songs in the genres of rock and pop rock.

«Toothpaste for an Elephant»

On May 19, in our library laboratory «Funny Science» the experiment «Toothpaste for an Elephant» was conducted. For this experiment, we needed: hydrogen peroxide, liquid soap, yeast, warm water and food coloring. Experience shows how hydrogen peroxide breaks down into water and oxygen, and yeast serves as a catalyst, that is, makes the reaction faster. Well, thanks to the soap, big bubbles are obtained! The result is a foam volcano. Anyone can easily do this experiment at home!

Poetic evening “Oshpes mura kaldyrgan uly akyn”

In the library named after Abai , a poetic evening “Oshpes mura kaldyrgan uly akyn” was held, dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the birth of poet Magzhan Zhumabaev from Alash Orda.
The senior lecturer of the Department of Journalism of the KarU named after E.A. Buketova, member of the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan A.Kutzhanuly, teacher of the specialized boarding school “Murager” K. Bellulin, who won 1st place in the competition “Magzhannyn pedagogikasy zhane ult tarbiesi”, teacher of history Zh. Mustafin gymnasium 39 named after M. Zhumabaev.
During the event, a documentary film about the life of M. Zhumabaev was shown. Schoolchildren read excerpts from the works of the poet, learned from teachers some historical facts about the fate of the disgraced poet.
At the end of the event, the song “Magzhan urpaktarynyn ani” was performed by the vocal group “Senim”.

The Day of workers of culture and art

On the eve of the celebration of the Day of workers of culture and art on the stage of the theater. S. Seifullin held the annual ceremony of awarding the prize of the akim of the Karaganda region. In the nomination «The BEST LIBRARY» won the head of the department for serving children of middle and senior school age of the Karaganda Regional Children’s Library named after Abai PODGAINOVA MARINA NIKOLAEVNA.
The library team congratulates MARIA NIKOLAEVNA on her victory and wishes her success, health and prosperity.
Also on this day, the system engineer of the library MUKHACHEVA NAZERKE KAYRATOVNA was awarded the prize of the Department of Culture, Archives and Documentation of the Karaganda region.

Literary and musical evening “Kuy atasy – Kurmangazy”

This year marks the 205th anniversary of Kurmangazy Sagyrbayuly, a leading figure in Kazakh traditional music, a composer and dombra performer, whose music reflected the personal experiences and history of the Kazakh people.
In honor of this date, a literary and musical evening “Kuy atasy – Kurmangazy” was held in the library. The event was attended by the director of the Academic Orchestra of Kazakh Folk Instruments named after Tattimbet Sanzhar Ashkenov and students of secondary schools 6, 10.
Kurmangazy is an art critic who raised the national culture and music to the world level. He was persecuted for openly criticizing the rich. In his works, the composer reflected deep reflections on the independence and freedom of the people. Kui “Alatau”, “Adai” and “Saryarka” became the pearls of Kazakh music.
During the event, the best works of kuishi were played, the children learned about interesting facts from the life of Kurmangazy, watched videos about his musical heritage, got acquainted with books about his work.

«Комиксburg»

On May 17, the library hosted an awards ceremony for the winners and prize-winners of the Regional Competition for Children’s Comics (drawn stories) «Comicsburg» among children aged 10-11.

The competition was held from 01.02 to 14.05.2023 to the 100th anniversary of the coryphaeus of Kazakh children’s literature Muzafar Alimbaev under the auspices of the 70th anniversary of the Karaganda Regional Children’s Library named after Abai.

 The purpose and objectives of the competition are: to attract the interest of children and adolescents to the work of Kazakh authors; popularization of books, reading; the development of imagination and the manifestation of skills to express one’s thoughts in words and drawings; formation of a community of reading children, actively learning the world of literary works. More than 116 works were sent from cities and districts of the Karaganda region.

The works were evaluated by a competent, independent jury consisting of: Isainov Olzhas, head of the Exemplary Studio of Fine Arts «Ala Gulder» of the Palace of Children and Youth; Asem Tarybayeva, history teacher at the boarding school lyceum named after N. Nurmakov; Kostina Maria, the founder of the creative art studio “Mandarin”, a teacher of the KGKP «Children’s School of Arts 2» and Kazakova Elizaveta, a student of the Karaganda Higher Humanitarian College.

II place: Inzhu Maidanova (Karaganda) and Anastasia Semenova (Molodezhny village, Osakarovsky district) – (smart watch);

 III place: Yerkenaz Zhanabay (village of Kasym Amanzholova, Karkaraly district) and Arystanbekova Akerke (village of Topar, Abai district) – Bluetooth speaker.

 In addition to determining the winners, the members of the jury within the framework of the competition approved special incentive nominations from the organizers of the Competition and the Jury with the award of a diploma and VR glasses.

 Diploma and prize in nominations were awarded to:

  • «Adil kazy kozaiymy» – Ekaterina Valeeva (Karaganda) and Oserbai Kausar (Zharaspai village, Nura district);
  • «Keep your idea» – Bekturgan Aruzhan (Karaganda) and Nefedova Sofya (Shakhtinsk);
  • «Keep the plot» – to Rymbekov Beibarys (village of Egindybulak , Karkaralinsky district) and Tishkina Valeriya, (village of Novouzenka, Bukhar, Zhyrau district);
  • «Menin keyipkerim» – Kүmisbek Nurtilek (village of Egindybulak, Karkaralinsky district) and Nurpeyіs Aisane (village of Topar, Abai district).

With musical congratulations to the winners and participants of the competition, the ensemble of dombra players of School 21″ of Karaganda under the direction of A. Toktarov performed.

Evening-requiem “Sad pages of the era”

On the occasion of the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Political Repressions and Famine, the library held an evening-requiem “Sad Pages of the Epoch”. The event was attended by the head of the research department of the Museum of Memory of Victims of Political Repressions of the village of Dolinka I. Kondrashov and students of the 10th grade of secondary school 15.
The students were shown the video “KarLAG” and told about the difficult fate of one of the prisoners of the Karlag, Heinrich Eichler. He stood at the origins of Detgiz in Moscow, and ended his life in Karaganda. The children were offered the history of one exhibit, G. Eichler’s correspondence with K. Paustovsky.
During the meeting, schoolchildren read poems by poets-prisoners who went through the millstones of repression and terror. Among them are Naum Korzhavin, Anna Barkova and Nikolai Zabolotsky.
At the end of the event, a review of the book exhibition “Karlag: Man and Fate” was made.

Art workshop “Free Style”

The art workshop “Free Style” continues its work.
At the next lesson, the girls learned how to assemble a new hair ornament – a tulle bow hairpin. Needlewomen fell in love with tulle, it looks elegant and impressive, soft and gentle, and it is a pleasure to work with it.
